Dr. Rasha Elkady

  • Dr. Rasha Elkady completed her training at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri.

    She is board certified in adult, child, and adolescent psychiatry, with more than 15 years of experience.

    “I have been enjoying my work with my psychiatry patients and their families for the past 15 years, and I would like to provide this new and unique service to patients.”

    Dr. Elkady is passionate about families' mental health and well-being.

    “I believe that having a family member struggling with their mental health affects the family as a whole. My goal is to help every family member manage their mental health issues, function normally, and thrive in their lives without carrying the burden of mental health problems.”

  • Besides working with telepsychiatry patients, Dr. Rasha Elkady is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the School of Medicine at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri.

    She has served as an inpatient attending physician on the child and adolescent inpatient service at the Missouri Psychiatric Center and worked with the Division of Youth Services, helping delinquent youth and their families.

    Additionally, Dr. Elkady has served as the Psychiatry Clerkship Medical Director at the School of Medicine, University of Missouri.

    Dr. Elkady enjoys working with patients from diverse cultural backgrounds. She has chaired the Diversity and Inclusion Committee for the Department of Psychiatry, actively promoting culturally sensitive care.

    She is a strong advocate for mental health on both national and international levels, frequently engaging in talks, publications, and presentations on various mental health issues.
